Antalya merkezden Kaş'a gitmek için yaklaşık 4 saatlik bir yolculuk süresi ayrılır. Yol boyunca Finike ve Demre gibi kıyı yerleşimlerinden geçilir. Bu mesafe özel araçla daha kısa sürse de otobüs yolculuklarında mola süreleri bu zamanı etkiler.
Likya Yolu yürüyüşü için bahar ayları olan nisan, mayıs veya ekim, kasım dönemleri tercih edilir. Yaz aylarında Akdeniz bölgesindeki yüksek sıcaklıklar yürüyüşü zorlaştırır. Kış aylarında ise yüksek kesimlerde yağış miktarı artar.
Adrasan ve Çıralı sahillerinde deniz suyu sabah erken saatlerde daha durgun olur. Öğleden sonra bölgede rüzgarın yön değiştirmesiyle dalga oluşumu artar. Yerel halk ve gezginler genellikle sabah saatlerini yüzmek için kullanır.
8 gün ve üzeri süren turlar Akdeniz rotasından başlayarak Ege bölgesine kadar uzanır. Bu uzun rotalarda Muğla ve çevresindeki koylar gezi planına eklenir. Daha kısa olan 4 ile 7 gün süreli turlar ise genellikle sadece Antalya ve çevresindeki duraklara odaklanır.
